I am a young entrepreneur who has the desire to contribute to
curbing SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) which is to end hunger, achieve
food security and improve nutrition. My company rears catfish
and adds value to it by smoking and other food processing techniques. We seek to
expand and go into imports in the foreseeable future. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge
and maximise my potential through the AWE programme.

Born on 8th July 1984, Josephine is a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong academic background and a passion for mathematics, education, and customer service. Her journey has been marked by a commitment to learning, problem-solving, and making a positive impact in various roles.
Josephine holds a BSc in Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science
and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana; and a Diploma in Financial Management from ICM-UK.
She works at the Ghana Post (EMS-Kumasi), as a Service Personnel, Customer Service
Personnel at Pacific Saving and Loans. Josephine is inspired by her passion for
mathematics and education.
Her desire to combine education and business that offers educational products and services
was what pushed her to apply for the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs program.
She seeks to start a successful educational business that specializes in making mathematics
enjoyable and understandable for students in the next 5 years. The AWE program’s
guidance and support will play a pivotal role in realizing her vision, equipping her with the
necessary skills and network to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and turn her

Rashida Adams is the confident inspiration behind Rashdams Royal Enterprise, a professional cleaning and interior decoration service provider in Asokore Mam pong, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The enterprise is dedicated to providing reliable, top-notch
services to residential and commercial clients with high-quality cleaning and interior
solutions. Post-construction cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, space
planning, furniture selection, decorative elements and accessories, upholstery cleaning,
curtains and blinds, colour coordination, consultation and design, as well as sales of
cleaning and interior decoration tools, are just a few of the services we offer. At Rashdams
Royal Enterprise, we stand out for our wide range of services, meticulous attention to detail,
individualised approach, and dedication to innovation. Our mission is to transform places
into enticing environments that represent the distinctive style and personality of our clients.
Our slogan is “Sparkle and Style.” She is excited to participate in the AWE programme
because she believes it would enable her to expand her clientele and expand the business.

Juliet Kusi-Boateng is a medical doctor currently practicing at Ejisu Government Hospital. Her educational journey began at Our Lady of Apostles and KNUST JHS for my basic education.
She pursued her secondary education at Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School, and she
later fulfilled her dream of becoming a medical doctor by graduating from Ternopil National
Medical University in Ukraine.

Adja is a dedicated, resourceful and goal driven professionally trained teacher with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of every child for the past
10years.
Also a passionate poultry farmer with 6 years of experience owning and managing msAdja Fatoma Memorial Farm located in the Wenchi Municipality in the Bono Region of Ghana. It started operations in September 2017. “AFm Farm’111 deals in the rearing and selling of live broiler birds and dressed chicken known as “Her Legacy Chicken”. She joined the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) to build her confidence in business and to acquire knowledge and network with other women in the poultry fraternity.

I’m Sophia Dauda and my business is GreenMat. I recycle or repurpose unwanted fabrics into mattresses which are donated to those who can’t afford the normal mattresses. I wish to gain from AWE, the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to establish my business firmly with presence across Ghana.

She comes from Bawku in the Upper East Region but lives at Techiman in the Bono East Region. She graduated from the Ejura Agricultural college in 2017 and is still pursuing a degree at
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Grace currently works with the
Department of Agriculture as the Women in Agricultural Development Officer and doubles
up as an Agricultural Extension Agent.
Grace has a keen interest in starting a business in fish (Catfish) rearing and bee keeping
respectively. However, she prepares special local drink (sobolo) and sells to the locals in her
community. Grace’s major expectation is to get well connected to successful women
entrepreneurs. Also, she is looking forward to securing some financial assistance to enhance
her capacity to successfully establish her entrepreneurial career and to provide adequate
employment to her fellow women in the community. She also hopes to be able to gain
adequate knowledge to transfer to other potential women.

Business: Nael Fibre Accessories
Ellen Lokko is a resilient and daring individual who consistently navigates challenges to attain a desired objective. Combining her degree in Communication Studies with her eagerness to learn and make an impact, she worked in various sectors- adventure sports and experiential learning, health innovation, youth engagement, circular economy, and public service. She is the team lead and founder of Nael Fibre Accessories (a circular economy startup that recycles plant waste from Agri-production into exquisite eco-friendly and biodegradable home decor and accessories. Her business tackles SDGs 1,3,8,9,11,12,13,15 and 17).
Leveraging on being part of AWE Cohort 5, she aims to build on critical business skills to
tackle current and future business challenges with multidisciplinary approaches that
integrate the most recent and relevant business knowledge with experiential learning.
After the training and towards the next five years, she aims to leverage her business
experience and network to launch her green startup into a profitable business with over
forty thousand customers. In addition, she aspires to develop at least three new product
lines that further contribute to climate action.
Giving back to society has always been part of her narrative so while harnessing her
influence and customer network to grow her business brand, she aims towards soliciting
support to organise sustainable programs to address environmental challenges that
endanger livelihoods and affect natural resources as well as management of waste.

Vida is a Chartered Accountant with a distinguished career in financial management and a strong commitment to community leadership. Her journey spans various roles, showcasing a
versatile skills set and a passion for making a difference in both her professional and
personal life. Vida embarked on a remarkable entrepreneurial journey in response to the
2020 COVID-19 pandemic, recognising the need for access to fresh and hygienically
processed Catfish, and gave birth to VIDAMS FARMS (Catfish Farming) in Sunyani-Bono
Region of Ghana. Initially, the farm was to feed the family during the pandemic, VIDAMS
FARMS has evolved into a thriving venture that produces (Aqua Flavours Catfish) high quality
smoked, well cleaned, fresh catfish and well packaged in a hygienic environment. This venture not only addresses the scarcity of fresh Catfish but also promotes health and nutrition, creates employment, provides food security (Zero Hunger) and reduces poverty thus contributing positively in achieving SDG goals within the community. With AquaFlavours Catfish, From Our Waters to Your Plate, Catch the Flavour, Taste the Freshness and the Difference she seeks to acquire entrepreneurial skills, access to resources, networking, access to Funding, global perspective and business development.

Mariam hales from Antseadze in the Central Region, Gomoa West district to be precise and owns Splash2020 Enterprise, a sachet water production and distribution enterprise, with

owns Splash2020 Enterprise, a sachet water production and distribution enterprise, with
collection of waste sachet rubbers for sale to recycling companies. The company seeks to
tackle SDG goal number 6 by providing clean water and sanitation, as well as number 8 by
providing employment which leads to economic growth. She currently has 13 employees.
To be able to create more jobs, women are also supported by selling the product on credit in
depos financed by the enterprise.
As an entrepreneur there is a need to be knowledgeable in the various practices such as
business management, business plan creation, business finance, business Human resource
management and good networking with other entrepreneurs to be able to be successful.
All these qualities can be gained through the training provided by AWE and she looks
forward to benefiting from this great network that aims at empowering women
entrepreneurs.

Hannah Aidoo, the Founder and CEO of H.A. FARMS has a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bsc degree in Agribusiness Management from KNUST. She is very passionate about agriculture and human development. She started H.A. FARMS in 2017 as a small poultry business but it has grown over the years to be an integrated farm. H.A. FARMS is an integrated green agribusiness that leverages on climate smart technologies and circular economy principles to produce organic, healthy and affordable poultry products, rabbits, snails and vegetables for healthy living.
We are currently adding catfish and mushroom farming to our line of business to help us
supply a wide range of protein-based foods to our cherished customers.
The business is located in Mankessim. Her expectation of the AWE program is to be able to
acquire knowledge and skills needed to build a sustainable business, network, and learn
from mentors and colleague entrepreneurs.

Rhema Engineering Solutions Limited is a Ghanaian business with expertise in solar energy and LED lighting, devoted to promoting individual energy production and reducing energy consumption with solar energy and energy-saving LED lights. For a broad spectrum of
clients, the company designs, installs, and maintains customized, affordable solutions. A
wide range of solar-powered LED lamps, indoor and outdoor LED lights, and solar power
components such as inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and solar panels are some of
our key products. Recently, the company incorporated solar energy solutions for agriculture
and agribusinesses, namely the installation and maintenance of solar irrigation pumps, solar
food dryers and cold storage. Through our affordable, clean, and sustainable energy

Rosemond is a dedicated educator with a strong passion for entrepreneurship. As a lecturer, she had the privilege of sharing her knowledge and expertise with students, inspiring them to
explore the exciting world of Agro processing and Agribusiness. Her journey as an
entrepreneur has been equally rewarding, as she co-founded and currently serves as the
CEO of Fountain Foods Limited.
Balancing her roles as a lecturer and entrepreneur has enabled her to bridge the gap
between academia and the real-world application of knowledge. The insights gained is used
in teaching, enriching the educational experience for her students.
At Fountain Foods Limited, we are driven by the desire to join the fight against postharvest
losses of agricultural produce. With a focus on sustainability, quality, and innovation, we are
constantly working hard to establish ourselves as a prominent player in the Agro processing
industry.
The product line includes cassava flour, plantain flour, fermented corn flour, corn-soy flour,
groundnut paste (peanut butter), ginger powder, pepper powder, natural mixed spices, and
plantain snacks. What sets her business apart is their unwavering commitment to sourcing
wholesome raw materials directly from local farmers, ensuring not only the highest quality
products but also contributing to the growth of local agricultural communities. At Fountain

These products are unique because fresh, wholesome and bruised-free fruit that are carefully selected right from the farm gate are used.
The health of every individual is my topmost priority since food and beverages are one of the
fundamental needs in life. The clients are mainly based in Nsawam, Accra, Koforidua, and other
regions. She hopes to ship products outside the country soon.

responsibility. As a Champion of Women’s Empowerment, she empowers women in her
venture and the community, promoting sustainability. AFB expects the Academy for

Andromeda is a 27-year-old media professional who owns Wepia Body Essentials, a skincare company, committed to providing safe natural skincare products such as Shea butter,
body scrub and hair oils.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in mass communications and journalism from BlueCrest
University College in Accra, graduating as an overall best student with a CGPA of 3.85. She is
currently pursuing her Master’s degree.
Wepia Body Essentials also deals in exfoliating materials such as sponges, hand gloves, lip
tools and beauty tools (jade rollers and Guasha stones).
We prioritize the environment by incorporating sustainable packaging solutions, reducing
waste. Andromeda understands social media platforms digital marketing (3 months
intensive course with Global American Business Institute) and how to use them to reach
target audiences, particularly for her small business. She is passionate about digital media
and entrepreneurship.

I’m Judith Dzidzono, the CEO of Queens of Hats. I have ran this business since 2019. At Queens of Hats, we make fashion accessories such as Fascinators, Hats, Hatinators, Bridal Fans

I believe the course structure and content of the AWE program will equip me with the
necessary skills to improve on my delivery as a business owner. She provides quality and reliable domestic services through our proficient professionals. For the brand to be exceptional, FITS by Anne uses the Northern Kente, tie dye and batik as its main raw materials for production. As an emerging brand, FITS by Anne envisions itself to be one of the leading fashion brands in Africa and beyond.
As an entrepreneur she believes she will master the requisite and professional strategies in

Mrs. Regina Yankson is the CEO and Manageress of Clereg Beauty Banq and Cosmetics, located at Adenta Panteng junction road (Shalom Estate junction). The business focuses on the
treatment of damaged skin and hair by making it more healthy and stronger to make people feel elegant and confident wherever they appear. She plans to be introducing a new product line, body lotion to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and Acne. Regina expects to get new ideas and skills to run her business, manage finances, improve customers service experience, and employee relationship. The AWE program will build her confidence in the new area of doing business.

Erasung Hadijah Ahmed is a passionate young entrepreneur and an accountant by profession, and she does not settle for less. MydaFoods Nutrition adds value to cereals, grains and
vegetables for weaned babies and picky eaters to curb malnutrition as our contribution to
the global SDGs. The company can boost of ten {10) regular meals and five (5) instant meals
available in various natural varieties, which include fonio, millet, tigernut, carrots, wheat,
soya, brown rice etc.
Erasung is the Founder, CEO and President of MydaFoods Nutrition, Pitch with Myda and
Muslim Women Entrepreneurs and Leaders Foundation respectively, an icon in the eyes of
the youth by nature through her initiatives, innovations and highly positive spirit. She
received citations, recognitions, and awards from UPSA for yearly mentoring final year
students at the Institute and won several pitch competitions with her baby food brand.
Erasung Hadijah Ahmed has groomed many young people into believing in themselves and
their entrepreneurial ideas and initiatives.
She seeks to learn, unlearn, and relearn on building and scaling her personal and business
life. Again, network and build beneficial relationships, and also share knowledge and
experiences.

Josephine Asare Sakyi is a graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Customer Service Personnel by profession, and the CEO of Boxxyfly and Knitville
Kente. She started the kente business after she had positive responses from colleagues for
showing them a cloth she bought for someone. She was amazed at how friends and colleagues at work were willing to see how she could offer that service and the fact that they can get authentic kente from someone they know has roots from the Ashanti Region. This birthed KNITVILLE KENTE and it’s been 2 years of putting smiles on the faces of clients through weaving and selling of authentic kente.
BOXXYFLY came into the picture when I thought of quality yet affordable packaging for my
kente business. Boxxyfly is into packing and making boxing using strawboard. These are
handmade boxes tailored to suit clients’ preferences, designs or orders which go a long way
in creating lasting memories with nicely design packages for all occasions. She looks forward
to acquiring the knowledge, skills, networking, and mentorship in managing and growing
my business to be top-notch in my chosen field.
NAME: Nana Adjoa Egyin-Buadu

Business: iMade Crafts
Nana Adjoa Egyin-Buadu is the creative director and founder of iMade Crafts which designs t-shirts and tote bags, as well as rattan and leather bags, tote bags are made from cotton
materials as a sustainable alternative shopping bag to plastic bags whereas rattan bags are
crafted from bamboo, a durable and renewable natural resource, offering an eco-friendly
alternative to cutting down trees and reducing deforestation, a major environmental
concern.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Textiles and Fashion and is currently pursuing an MBA in
Human Resource Management. Adjoa is passionate about crafting. This field holds great
cultural significance, and it is disheartening to see it slowly fading away. She is driven by the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8, 11, and 13, and iMade exists to revive and raise
awareness about the importance of preserving our culture while promoting traditional
craftsmanship. One of her core missions is to train young girls in crafting skills, creating
employment opportunities, and contributing to environmental sustainability.
She looks forward to boost her confidence and establish solid business structures. She
believes the training will provide her with the ideal platform to nurture and realise this
potential through valuable networking opportunities and support the development of
women entrepreneurs.

is a Network Engineer with twelve {12) years’ experience in the IT/Telecom industry; a self-motivated and an optimistic woman with a passion and a drive to succeed. She is the owner of Petrax, a multi-disciplinary engineering company which provides services in Data and Voice Network Infrastructure, Network Security, Structured
Cabling and Telecom Infrastructure. She hopes to be equipped with the relevant skills and
expertise in owning and managing a business to help with the growth and expansion of
Petrax.

Sylvia Ofosua Yeboah is a Geomatic Engineer. My business is in the construction industry, we supply building materials such as blocks, cement, and iron rods (Rebar) to building contractors and individual home builders.
Our rebar department is equipped with machines that allow us to supply iron rods (rebar) in
cut and bend, ready to use forms to our clients.

Gertrude is a proud textile artist who is confident, purposeful, determined and has great interest in reading, writing and styling. She is the Founder and Creative Director of Trudie Art
and Craft which focuses on creating unique designs and constructing aesthetically pleasing,
afrocentric bags of all kinds from scratch using leather and authentic African wax prints.

worked as a marketing assistant at Listening Bureau, a real estate company in Accra and is an
actress for A19 media in Terna. She is a resilient young woman who is always willing to take
initiatives, willing to learn and easily adapts to new environments.
