Portia has over eight years of making an impact in women through building and training individuals in the beauty industry as well as mentoring programs.  As an astute and perceptive leader, Portia wears many hats in the Beauty industry in addition to her primary role in education.  Portia Gyeni-Boateng is a serial entrepreneur, a licensed beauty facilitator, a makeup artist, an experienced transformational leader and an undergraduate Diploma student in cosmetic chemistry.  Portia has contributed generously towards creation of employment opportunities for women in the beauty industry by training over 600 students. My name is Persis Boafo, a final year student with the institute of chartered accountants Ghana with just a paper to charter.   The name of my business is Home Touch, a registered business and I’m hopeful that it would become a big brand name in the future.

The business currently operates as a retail cum wholesale (on small scale) in toiletry and sanitary products including but not limited to soaps (solid, powder, liquid), diapers, bleaches, baby wipes, cleaners, air refreshers, paper towels and tissues, creams and pomades, etc. The business has a plan of introducing other products, brands and Fast Moving Consumer Goods when it gets the financial muscles to be able to do so any time soon.  It is in my plans to move  to become a Key Distributor for some brands moving forward and then finally become a competitive producer or manufacturer in the future.

My name is Anna Tetteh and the Founder of Skemcat ventures.  Vegetables are important for our daily meal build up for a healthy living, but for the people of Tamale this is not easily available due to some factors such as, climate disadvantage as they have one raining season which is followed by a severe dry season and having to depend on other towns for vegetables.

SKEMCAT Ventures seeks to produce some of these vegetables, such as cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, lettuce and we wish to do so through out the year, by other sources of water other than the rains which is only available for about six months in the year.

Production has not started but serious land preparations and protection of space from predators mostly animals from destroying plants are on-going.

As a startup, my expectations are to know the key and important lessons in running a business, the dos and don’ts so my business will be sustainable, so I do not start and abandon the initiative.   I also want to benefit from the networking with other participants and learn from their businesses as well. I would also appreciate funding if any.

I am Hannah Akua Mokani and my business name is Hannita’s Clothing. Hannita’s clothing currently operates as a sole proprietor dress making entity which focuses on making Kids (unisex) and formal dresses for Females.

I started making dresses for clients from February 2021. I run the dress making business from my residence at New Eyifua Estate, Cape Coast and I can make between 3 to 5 complete dresses on a weekly basis with alterations occasionally.

The core values of Hannita’s Clothing are Client’s value for money and Client satisfaction by optimal use of client’s cloth to provide quality elegant dresses at relatively affordable prices and timely delivery.
